► Southern Styled Vegetation v2.0
This Add-On or Modification adds a very heavily inspired by, realistic and very accurate Southern or South-eastern-like United States Wetland/Swamp vegetation to your Grand Theft Auto V game or FiveM server. All of the vegetation used is Vanilla based, carefully hand-picked for accurate detail, heavily optimized, as well as placed and edited carefully via Map Editor and Codewalker to make these area(s) alternatively and tastefully different!
Multiple hours of research, time, various videos, and being a resident of the area (The South-eastern United States) for a span of five years or so, has helped me form as well as create this modification placed and made exclusively for Roleplay, Photography and more!
- Please expect a minimum FPS drop of about 5-10 frames -
Varying and depending on respective graphic mod, hardware, time of day and location in-game, you may experience a slight FPS Drop. With a RTX 2080 and a I7-9700 system, I am able to stay around sixty or more frames as expected, but if you have a weaker system, you may get less!
You will need OpenIV or the knowledge to install this mod, respectively.
I am not responsible if you break your game, YMAPs usually do not break anything, unless added within conflict of another or if Rockstar Games updates something drastically. (As of October 2020, this probably won't happen.)
If needed, installation directions are included in the Mod archive's 'Readme'!
Thanks for taking the time to check this out, enjoy!
May 2022 Edit:
Thanks for 3,000+ downloads on version 1.0 and 2.0 combined, and shoutout to the NoPixel Roleplay community for using this mod in their 3.0 server! :)

This resource is no longer maintained as of December 31st, 2020 and is provided as is as well as originally intended, thanks for the support and all the love!
@FalqGTAV Will definitely be fixed in a future version, I honestly struggled a bit to figure out what to do there because it's an odd spot LOL. But I appreciate the feedback and thanks for checking it out!
@illagold did an amazing job with this release. 10/10
would love to see more of this maybe around the city, or up to paleto, etc. it'd be amazing if we could potentially see this cover the entire map (or thereabout almost all of it).
@chrisnovxxx Although I'm not totally opposed to this idea, this was built originally for FiveM RP servers and can be pretty heavy for most people, hence why it's only in the Blaine County/Sandy Shores area and a bit of the surrounding area(s). The point of it was to immerse you into what Florida is like when you leave a city or heavily populated area, hence why the urban areas aren't really touched in said mod and you don't see the change until you get onto the main freeway section that takes you out to the country side (LS Freeway) since it's pretty much like that in Florida.
In my honest opinion though, R* did a pretty decent job with the placement of palm trees and other various vegetation/flora that could be similar or somewhat close in the city, which is why I didn't bother adding anything else.
Also, I would totally love and wouldn't mind at all to make an update to this eventually, however I haven't really touched GTA in over a few months and it's currently sitting uninstalled.
I do want to thank you for the support and checking it out though, I definitely appreciate it!
Hmm, have you unpublished/deleted this mod?
@ikt I have unpublished an old version but I'd like to republish with a new version, if possible
@illagold
Did you change anything from 2.0 from last year and the current 2.0?
@ikt Yes, although I think I uploaded 2.0 twice lol - The previous version was 1.0 or 1.2 or something like that. This new version has been completely re-worked.
@illagold
Got it 👍
@illagold Nicely done. Hopefully no conflicts with Alex106's beta veg and props mod.
Works great!
Looks awesome, is it compatible with Forest of San Andreas?
Thank you for 1k+ downloads! I am insanely appreciative and never expected this mod to get this far! Every little bit of feedback is great and immensely helpful and a blessing!
@NoFilterGaming This mod is only compatible with most of OCRP's released YMAPs on the FiveM release forums, as this alters most of the Blaine County/Sandy Shores area(s) respectively and wasn't built to support any other form of added YMAPs in similar area(s) as it overhauls most of it. However, if you do want to try and mix different YMAPs with this mod, you could get some rather interesting or completely game breaking results, so be careful, but feel free!
@illagold I'd recommend adding vegetation along the highway near the Sandy Shores exit, much like OCRP. Same goes for along the rest of the major highways with open areas that need some more greenery.
@chrisnovxxx There's vegetation all over the Sandy Shores exit, but most of it covers the Blaine County area and routes already. Thanks for the feedback though! I'll probably update this soon and do more to spread it out more, starting with the Paleto area! :)
can you do something similar to ocrps vegetation?
@mikehuber This is inspired by 2019-2020 or so OCRP vegetation, as said in the 'read me' included in the download.
I have no planned updates for this mod for the foreseeable future, as I see this as complete and My GTA is uninstalled.
man this stuff is perfect bro works well with nb visual and forest of Sa hopefully you can do a country side streetlight mod cause city lights has to many lods
