Modern Siren Pack is a sound modification that introduces current generation real-world siren tones to GTA V, giving you a realistic emergency driving atmosphere. This modification will restructure the discontinued American Siren Pack modification and evolve into a larger scale siren modification for Grand Theft Auto V. The sound pack aims to introduce all known siren brands from around the world, and to allow you to choose the siren tones you want to have. The mod also aims to provide you with a smoother and easier installation experience. Modern Siren Pack is compatible with Emergency Lighting System V by Lt.Caine & Siren Mastery by Albo1125.
FEATURES :
The siren pack is in ongoing development, with limited and doctored/unedited siren tones. The siren pack will offer over 8 different Siren manufacture brands including but not limited to: Whelen Engineering, Federal Signal Corporation, Code 3 PSE, Feniex, Sound Off Signal, Rontan, Carson and Star/SVP. Modern Siren Pack will also include several foreign siren tones that are used in other countries.
Some siren brands will come with four standard tones ( Wail, Yelp, Priority, Hi-Lo/Misc. Tones,) including air horn. The siren tones in the pack will have a maintained level of volume, and quality assurance to give you the experience you want to have, especially by getting attention of other drivers on the road while responding code 3. Some siren brands are versatile for Fire/Rescue - EMS roles.
IMPORTANT NOTE :
Modern Siren Pack Alpha is your chance to experience the mod as it evolves throughout its development process. It is a work in progress and therefore contains a variety of bugs. I strongly advise you to expect the following bugs before you report it to me: volume level differences, some are quiet whereas others are louder. Not all siren models will have complete siren tones set regarding their real-life counterparts. Changes will occur, and I will omit some. By using Modern Siren Pack, you understand what Alpha Pack means and are interested in taking part in the ongoing development cycle.
Sirens provide an essential function of an effective audio/visual warning system. However, sirens are only short range secondary devices. The use of a siren does not ensure that all drivers can or will abide by or react to an emergency warning signal, especially at high rates of speeds or long distances. The operator of the vehicle must never take the right of way for granted, and it is the operator’s responsibility to proceed safely.

UPDATE 3.1.0 9/29/2018
- New cleaner siren tones for the California Highway Patrol, these sirens are used by Modern CHP fleet and is recommended to be used with @Thehurk CHP pack.
- Added a unique LAFD Motorola wail tone, which is only heard on the newer Los Angeles Fire Department fleet, they hooked up the Motorola Spectra siren through a whelen siren amp, and it modifies the pitch of the siren tones.
In case if you have missed the recent announcement, it is now possible to assign more siren traits to ELS, which means you can assign the fire truck, ambulance, FIB, and motorcycle police siren tones for ELS .xml profiles.

So if you want to use the new CHP siren tones, or the LAFD wail for the fire truck or highway patrol vehicle, just simply go to the model ELS's xml profile, and tweak the siren settings with the siren trait names listed below :
Firetruck Siren:

Make a new folder somewhere on your desktop, name it anything
Move Both the Vehicle folder and vehicle.oac file out of this .rar pack into the folder you just created on the desktop
Open 'OpenIV' and go to your GTA V Directory.
In 'OpenIV', go to the 'x64' folder, then audio > sfx > resident.rpf
Inside Resident.rpf should be 16 .awc files.
Import openformats, navigate to the folder you put the american siren pack 'vehicles' folder and the 'vehicles.oac' in and select the 'Vehicles.oac'
save and you're good to go. Respond Code 3 !
IF YOU WISH TO USE OTHER SIRENS TONES OTHER THAN STOCK TONES, YOU WILL NEED TO REFER TO YOUR SIREN HASHTAG DICTIONARY, AND USE THE NAMES FOR YOUR DESIRED TONES. MAKE SURE THE VEHICLE FOLDER DOES NOT EXCEED 15.7MB OR IT WILL MUTE THE SOUND DICTIONARY.
OIV INSTALLATION :
1) Run OpenIV
2) Select Tools > Package Installer (Located on the toolbar at the top)
3) Locate 'Modern Siren Pack.OIV'
4) Select 'Open'
5) Choose 'MODS folder' to install in.
6) Respond Code 3.

UPDATE 3.1.0 9/29/2018
- New cleaner siren tones for the California Highway Patrol, these sirens are used by Modern CHP fleet and is recommended to be used with @Thehurk CHP pack.
- Added a unique LAFD Motorola wail tone, which is only heard on the newer Los Angeles Fire Department fleet, they hooked up the Motorola Spectra siren through a whelen siren amp, and it modifies the pitch of the siren tones.
In case if you have missed the recent announcement, it is now possible to assign more siren traits to ELS, which means you can assign the fire truck, ambulance, FIB, and motorcycle police siren tones for ELS .xml profiles.

So if you want to use the new CHP siren tones, or the LAFD wail for the fire truck or highway patrol vehicle, just simply go to the model ELS's xml profile, and tweak the siren settings with the siren trait names listed below :
Firetruck Siren:
"RESIDENT_VEHICLES_SIREN_FIRETRUCK_WAIL_01" - Firetruck Primary
"RESIDENT_VEHICLES_SIREN_FIRETRUCK_QUICK_01" - Firetruck Secondary
Police Bike Siren:
"RESIDENT_VEHICLES_SIREN_WAIL_03" - Police Bike Primary
"RESIDENT_VEHICLES_SIREN_QUICK_03" - Police Bike Secondary
Sheriff (Granger) Siren:

MANUAL INSTALLATION :
Make a new folder somewhere on your desktop, name it anything
Move Both the Vehicle folder and vehicle.oac file out of this .rar pack into the folder you just created on the desktop
Open 'OpenIV' and go to your GTA V Directory.
In 'OpenIV', go to the 'x64' folder, then audio > sfx > resident.rpf
Inside Resident.rpf should be 16 .awc files.
Import openformats, navigate to the folder you put the american siren pack 'vehicles' folder and the 'vehicles.oac' in and select the 'Vehicles.oac'
save and you're good to go. Respond Code 3 !
IF YOU WISH TO USE OTHER SIRENS TONES OTHER THAN STOCK TONES, YOU WILL NEED TO REFER TO YOUR SIREN HASHTAG DICTIONARY, AND USE THE NAMES FOR YOUR DESIRED TONES. MAKE SURE THE VEHICLE FOLDER DOES NOT EXCEED 15.7MB OR IT WILL MUTE THE SOUND DICTIONARY.
OIV INSTALLATION :
1) Run OpenIV
2) Select Tools > Package Installer (Located on the toolbar at the top)
3) Locate 'Modern Siren Pack.OIV'
4) Select 'Open'
5) Choose 'MODS folder' to install in.
6) Respond Code 3.

Hi,
I used the OIV and a weird issue appears, My character and all the NPC are now mute, no more street dialogue, cannot say "Hi" with "E" and some others sounds effect are missing. I tried to put back the original fils in RESIDENT.rpf and some effect came back but character + NPC are still mute.
Does anyone know how to completely remove the mod?

@Syncify If you're trying to remove this use the oiv pack of this sirens and go to the same location and drag and drop it then it'll unstall it even though its gonna install it its just gonna undo it
the worst sounds you can get....
I have a weird bug, the sirens work for the first 15 min of gameplay but then all the cops are silent after that for the rest of the game unless i restart GTA V completely

The sirens are great but the fire truck horn doesnt work. Had to use the vanilla fire truck horn instead and it sucked
As some people like @Aurora11 mention, it looks like the hashes for the sound files are invalid.
I've searched the entire vehicles.awc and extracted .oac folder to search one by one for all parts of sirens, to get the right hashes to replace with.
I found the following:
airhorn: AIRHORN_EQD.wav
ambulance warning: AMBULANCE_WARNING.wav
fire truck horn: FIRE_TRUCK_HORN.wav
siren 2: SIREN_2.wav
siren firetruck quick: SIREN_FIRETRUCK_QUICK_01.wav
siren firetruck wail: SIREN_FIRETRUCK_WAIL_01.wav
siren police main: SIREN_PA20A_WAIL.wav
siren quick 01: SIREN_QUICK_01.wav
and so on..
So replace the above files with your favorite siren sounds.
But.. When I was trying out all the original siren sounds, it seems that there are already original sirens which sounds more modern than the default GTA one? Like siren_03 and siren_04 contain some different sirens I have never heard in GTA before. Apparently, siren_04 would be used for the bike police, but actually never heard the _03 one. What I did was just changing siren_03 and/or siren_04 sound files for the SIREN_PA20A_WAIL.wav file. The default siren would then sound a lot better ;)
If someone knows where siren_03 and siren_04 are used in GTA V, please let me know, as I'm very curious now! Maybe I missed something.
You could also edit these sound files yourself, for example make some tones higher or speed it up a bit with a sound editor.

How to remove this mod: Backup your files before you install it, simple. Always have a clean version and a stable modded one so you can restore everything as it was or to the last working modded state. PS: I hope the mod sounds better than the YouTube video, because that's some bad audio.
