Snowy Weather Mod 1.0

Mod designed for those who want immersive snowy weather cycles in their game. Requires Christmas in Singleplayer Mod to look properly. I have pulled any RAIN, THUNDER and OVERCAST weathers from the cycles, added SNOWLIGHT, XMAS and BLIZZARD weather types instead. Had to avoid adding standard SNOW weather, because it's broken by R* (have no idea why), instead made some tweaks to SNOWLIGHT and XMAS to compensate and be more winter-like.
Technically you can use this in vanilla game without Snow Mod, but it will look very awkward, your choice.
Requirements:
- Open IV
- Christmas in Singleplayer
Installation:
- Use OpenIV and navigate to your *GTA V Root Folder*\mods\update\update.rpf\common\data\levels\gta5
- Replace weather.xml file
To uninstall, just navigate to the same path and remove or replace weather.xml file with original.
Known issues:
Blizzard weather can be very bright during night, and in some areas has extreme fog (around mountains mostly) so you cannot see anything 1-2 meters ahead. To address this, I added only 2 BLIZZARD weathers to rotation and set lowest time duration, to make sure it won't drag for too long and to have pretty low trigger chance. Still, has some flavor as it is. See screenshot #5 (extreme fog) and screenshot #6 (night blizzard in city) for comparison.

It's good but you can spawn it easily with SNT
@Liberty-gamer1247
what is SNT bro ???
@duration Simple Native Trainer
@Liberty-gamer1247
Yeah, you can, but with this mod weather changes naturally sunny-foggy-snowy-etc, you don't need to bring up trainer menu to switch it.
@Forrest Gimp I get it, but most of the people use a trainer, without that, how can you get the cars and weapons? But it's nice, take five stars
You buy cars and weapons at their stores* @Liberty-gamer1247
@TheLoneWolf293 Some of them you just can buy then in Online, not in Single Player
@Liberty-gamer1247 @Forrest Gimp actually it can change itself if you leave it alone for awhile, the trainer I have actually let's me customize the time cycle and weather settings myself
@Liberty-gamer1247
you say that you can spawn the same effect with SNT, so is it pretty much the same snow weather effect as in this mod as ion the print screens?? If so, can you please describe in few words how to do it with SNT?? Thank you friend!!!
@Liberty-gamer1247 well, you need https://www.gta5-mods.com/scripts/mplowrider2-in-sp to spawn them with a trainer. If you really want to buy them, use https://www.gta5-mods.com/scripts/premium-deluxe-motorsports-car-shop for the experience of a car shop or https://www.gta5-mods.com/scripts/buy-online-vehicles-in-sp-asi to use the website.
@TheLoneWolf293
See, yes it does, but thing is, when you set up weather with trainer, it has preset default duration time and it will always change to the weather type that sits in weather-cycle rotation, which refers to weather.xml file. It doesn't have any snow weathers in rotation in vanilla, you can easily check this out yourself. With my mod transition is smooth, random and pretty immersive. Trainer is great for testing to see the effects (that's how I was fine tuning it), but during play it's not so convenient IMO.
As for the rest, how posters above mentioned, you don't need trainer for online DLC cars, use mods from the link posted above, those are really great. Plus you can also buy property and huge garages with awesome SPA mod by I'm Not MentaL (https://www.gta5-mods.com/scripts/single-player-apartment-spg-net).
i use VisualV and it changes overcast to snowy to foggy etc etc ...no need for an extra mod? Just enable snow in trainerv
@Olddude
I wouldn't advice using it with VisualV or any other extensive graphic mods, it might break something. As far as I know VisualV uses it's own custom weather cycles (and it has fixed snow/blizzard presets) but it doesn't have transition to heavy snow weathers, so yes, only way would be using trainer I guess.
@Forrest Gimp This mod is great, I like the fact that creates snowy weather cycles throughout the game. I have it installed in conjunction with the "Christmas in Single Player" mod and both work great together. I have special request, I don't know if you're able to make this possible but, I would love to see actual snow on cars and peds heads. Once upon a time there was this mod called: "Singleplayer Snow 2.2" by GTAMultiplayer Team which unbelievably actually added snow on top of cars and on top of the heads of pedestrians which made it so much realistic. If you take a look at some of the demo videos for this mod you can clearly see snow on top of cars and on the heads of peds. I don't know how the hell GTAMultiplayer Team did that but, it shows that it is possible to do. Unfortunately at some point this mod stopped working and it's currently dead. It just doesn't work anymore with the latest gta5 patches. I would love to see a similar mod that will work with the latest patch that will provide the same effects that mod used to do. Take a look at this mod and see if you can figure out a way to introduce snow back on cars and on peds heads just like that mod used to and maybe add those features to an updated version of your own "Singleplayer Snow" mod. That would be such an awesome feature to see again, it would make this mod even more realistic. See what you can do, here's the link to the "Singleplayer Snow 2.2" mod I'm talking about> https://www.gta5-mods.com/scripts/singleplayer-snow#description_tab
Great mod, just what I needed, thanks.
Amazing game
