The M249 light machine gun, also known as the M249 Squad Automatic Weapon, which continues to be the manufacturer's designation, and formally written as Light Machine Gun, 5.56 mm, M249, is the American adaptation of the Belgian FN Minimi, a light machine gun manufactured by the Belgian company FN
Replaces the Combat MG.
Features:
• Fully animated
• Working Collision Data
• Attachment Compatible
• 2K Textures
Please note:
The iron sights do not line up and the belt is a little bugged when reloading.
Installation:
Just extract the archive and place the files in
mods/update/x64/dlcpacks/patchday8ng/dlc.rpf/x64/models/cdimages/weapons.rpf
How to Fix Texture Loss:
If you are experiencing any texture loss, make a copy of the low texture and rename it to +hi. The low textures should be 1024x1024 or 1024x512. Anything lower does not matter. If the textures aren't, you need to downscale them to that resolution. If you are still experiencing issues, try changing the pixel format to DXT5 or DXT1.

man i like the models you make but why do you not make extended clip for some models like this one? Same with the Springfield Armory Compact man!! If there is a _mag2 file in the game, there should be a replacement one!!!
If you want the sights lined up, try replacing "FirstPersonScopeOffset" with :
<FirstPersonScopeOffset x="0.0025" y="0.00100" z="-0.01907" />
Thats it !! Thats the one. For now at least.
Hard to find a good Mg Mod but this gun look realistic and the hand position is good, doesnt glitch through the Mag.
