Description
This is a racing mod powered by the users. You can easily create new races with the Map Editor mod. As of the 1.2 version, I included 4 default maps: Prison Lap, Horse Circuit, Alamo Goaround and Construction race
Best used with Faster AI Drivers mod by Eddlm!
Controls
M or Controller Back button - Quit current race.
Saving and Loading Races
All races are loaded from the scripts/Races folder. To create a race, you need the latest Map Editor mod installed alongside this mod. In the map editor, go to Create Map for External Mod, and then Create a Community Race. Then follow the next steps:
1. Place a ped - this will be your mission trigger/marker.
2. Place vehicles - these will be the race spawnpoints. Spawning different vehicle models adds them to the vehicle model pool.
3. Place markers in order for your checkpoints. The type of marker doesn't matter. Don't place markers right at a curve, because the AI doesn't have time to react and will drive right past the curve.
4. Place any objects you want, they'll be spawned in the race.
5. Save the map, it should be saved in scripts/Races/yourmap.xml
6. Open yourmap.xml with a text editor and edit the Name and Description tags.
7. You're done! Restart the mod to play your race.

Can Add-on Vehicles Works In The Community Races?
Can the devs pls ass the option that you can use addon cars
Perfect 5 out of 5 Stars. After adding MapEditor and these xml races to my script folder it worked first try. I haven't tried making my own race yet. -thx Guadmaz
@beurk Same problem here man
@lukazou you need to find the races on the map and go to them, you don't load them from the map editor
@mikadusk @beurk I also had the same issue, when race starts the player spawns without a car. I fixed it and also made a few improvements, like display the races names on blips, add a "time trial" (no opponents) and a "ghost" option (race against personal best time).
You can get from here https://github.com/oldnapalm/CommunityRaces/releases
Unfortunately I couldn't keep the Map Editor integration, so you need to use the old version to create races.
Managed to keep Map Editor integration in my update.
@Guadmaz How can I edit these to not have map blips? I'd rather not have map icons/blips for each race. It's causing the vanilla blips to disappear! HELP!
How do you have more racers??
Is there a way to make it so that the AI use the Motocross Racer Ped??
i dont spawn in the vehicle when race starts is there a fix
How to respawn on race? if i died or damage car, or fall out from direction?
Respawn option on the last checkpoint ?
@oldnapalm thanks!
@oldnapalm Dude, with your version, this one becomes the best racing mod ever, period.
Are you still around? An option to tweak/randomize the prize money and add an entry fee would be neat. :)
Btw i recommend "GTA Online Races [Community Races] 1.0" and disable blips in "CommunityRaces.ini":
RACESBLIPS = False
How do you make the races a bit harder without completely messing up ai traffic like the other mods seem to do
@Guadmaz I was wondering if I can play these with my friend if he uses the Rage Co-op mod alongside this mod..........
does this mod still work ? someone still help ( using latest version of gta 5 )
@XovaFPS Yes, it still works. If you want to race with the AI, you'll need Map Editor first.
