Have you thought about adding more customization into the config?
Perhaps specifying which route uses which bus model?
Not only would it allow greater customization by the user, it might also allow the use of custom buses.

After some testing of the Los Santos area I've run into 3 consistent problem areas;
Rancho, Mirror Park, and inbetween Vespucci Canals/Little Seoul.
Further testing these areas as Franklin is his Buffalo, the time of day does not seem to matter. It'll crash anywhere inbetween instantly and about 2 minutes of being in said areas.
Rancho seemed to be low-med end traffic and some industrial as well.
Mirror Park seemed to be meddium end traffic.
Vespucci Canals/Little Seoul seem to be med-high end traffic.
I'm getting a game a memory error crash only in these areas.
I see you said you don't seem to have a fix for this. I just thought I share this in case you do find a fix.
